Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalized on Sunday after complaining of breathing issues has been discharged from the hospital after successfully undergoing the pleural aspiration procedure. Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu has been sharing his health updates and she even assured fans that the veteran actor is doing better. Fans can now rejoice as he has been discharged from the hospital.

An update was shared on the veteran actor's official Twitter handle. It read, 'With your love and affection, and your prayers, Dilip saab is going home from the hospital. God's infinite mercy and kindness through Drs. Gokhale, Parkar, Dr Arun Shah and the entire team at Hinduja Khar.'

Fans and followers have been praying for his speedy recovery. Several celebs including Manoj Bajpayee and Dharmendra urged their fans to pray for the veteran actor. On Sunday, Dilip Kumar was hospitalized and reports of his death were doing rounds on the internet. Saira Banu rubbished the rumours and asked people not to believe in any WhatsApp forwards. She wrote, 'Don't believe in Whatsapp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh'Allah.'

For the uninitiated, filmmaker Madhur Bandharkar visited Dilip Kumar in the hospital to check on his health. Speaking to ETimes, he said that Saira Banu was very gracious to give him time. 'I was happy when I learned that he was stable. I felt I must go and so I did. Sairaji asked that we should pray for her husband's recovery.'
