Dilip Kumar Health Update: Saira Banu Confirms Actor Won't Be Discharged Today But Is Stable
On Wednesday, veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja hospital after he complained of breathlessness. While everyone has been praying for the actor’s speedy recovery, his wife Saira Banu gives an update on his health. The actress said Dilip Kumar is stable. He is still in ICU. She also mentioned that his family is waiting for the doctors' approval to take him home.
ANI quoted Saira Banu as saying, ‘Dilip Kumar Sahab's health is still stable. He is still in ICU, we want him to take home but we are waiting for the doctors' approval. He will not be discharged today, says his wife Saira Banu.’
 
This is the second time when Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised this month. The veteran actor was earlier admitted to the hospital on June 6, after he complained of breathlessness. Reportedly, he was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. After getting his treatment done, the actor went back home on June 11. 

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, his family friend Faisal Farooqui said, “He is stable. He continues to be in the hospital on doctor's advice so that doctor can provide necessary medical attention given his age. The family believes he will be discharged in a day or two.” Earlier, he had tweeted from Dilip Kumar’s Twitter handle and thanked people for their prayers. He tweeted, “Dilip Saab has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital, Khar to address medical issues related to illness which are frequently expected in a 98 year old. Your love and prayers are truly appreciated by Saab- Faisal Farooqui.”
