On June 6, veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after complaining of breathing issues. His wife Saira Banu shared that he had been facing breathing issues for the past few days. Dilip Kumar’s fans have been pouring in wishes and prayers for his speedy recovery. Saira Banu has been sharing health updates, and a few days ago, she assured fans that Dilip Kumar is doing better. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion, and a procedure was reportedly performed on Wednesday to remove fluid from his lungs.

Now, according to a report, the veteran actor is doing well, and he will likely be discharged from the hospital today.  Pinkvilla quoted Dr Jalil Parkar saying, “He will be discharged on Friday morning.” While there were reports that he would be discharged from the hospital on Thursday, looks like that did not happen, and the veteran actor will be discharged today.

Meanwhile, on June 6, after Dilip Kumar was hospitalized, his wife Saira Banu rubbished rumours of his death. She asked people not to believe in WhatsApp forwards. “Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable.  Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah," she had written.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar visited Dilip Kumar in the hospital to check on his health. While speaking to ETimes, he said that Saira Banu was very gracious to give him time. “I was happy when I learned there that he was stable. I felt I must go and so I did.
