Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 on Wednesday. The actor had been admitted to Hinduja Hospital due to age-related health issues. Faisal Farooqui shared the news of his death on the actor's official Twitter account. He tweeted, 'With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui.' The news of his death has left everyone heartbroken.

Bollywood celebs took to their respective social media handles to pay tribute to the veteran actor. Akshay Kumar tweeted, 'To the world may others may be heroes. To us actors, he was The Hero. #DilipKumar Sir has taken an entire era of Indian cinema away with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Om Shanti.'

Ajay Devgn shared a picture with the late actor and tweeted, 'Shared many memories with the legend... some very personal, some on stage. Yet, nothing really prepared me for his passing away. An institution, a timeless actor. Heartbroken. Deepest condolences to Saraji.'

Madhur Bhandarkar, Javed Jafferi, Mukhtar Abbas Aqvi, Prime Minister Narendar Modi, Hansika Motwani, and Hansal Mehta also took to Twitter and paid an emotional tribute to the veteran actor.
