Dilip Kumar Passes Away: Alia Bhatt Mourns The Veteran's Demise, Says ‘He Will Always Be The Gold Standard For Actors To Imbibe From’
Alia Bhatt is the latest celebrity to have mourned the sad demise of the legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who died on Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness. The Udta Punjab actress penned a lengthy note, calling the late actor a source of inspiration for millions to learn from. Alia also mentioned that every time she has watched him portray legendary characters, she felt like she was being swept away. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress shared an old photo of Dilip Kumar alongside a heartfelt note.

Alia wrote, “The power of his being lies in his unmatchable body of work. Every time I have watched him portray legendary characters I felt like I was being swept away and yet being educated. Educated by his nuances, his silences, his unparalleled depth and his sheer aura.”

She added, “He will always be the gold standard for actors to imbibe from… the cultural world just lost its shine but the legacy of his light lives on forever.Rest in peace Dilip Saab.”

The entire nation is mourning the tragic demise of the Tragedy King Of Bollywood. From celebrities, fans, politicians to sports personalities, stars have offered their condolences. 

Celebs including, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Hrithik Roshan among others visited Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar’s residence to pay their last respects. Politician Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray with his son Aditya Thackeray were also spotted at the late actor’s residence.
