Dilip Kumar Passes Away: Kriti Sanon Urges Media ‘To Not Cover Funeral’; Asks Them To ‘Put Humanity Before Profession’
On Wednesday, July 7, one of the veterans, Dilip Kumar passed away due to prolonged illness. As per their official statement, Dilip’s cremation took place in Mumbai's Juhu Kabristan in Santacruz at 5:00 PM. His beloved wife Saira Banu stood beside her husband till he was buried. We came across a video where Saira arrived at the venue. As soon as a grief-stricken Saira got out of her car, she was mobbed by media and photographers. Well, seeing funeral pictures and videos surface online, one Bollywood actor did not approve of this kind of journalism and she is Kriti Sanon.

The Housefull 4 actor took to her Instagram stories to make a ‘humble request’ to the paparazzi. She mentioned that funerals are a very personal affair and that the paps should let people mourn in silence instead of flashing cameras in their faces. She also called out the photographers for casually talking in the background during this kind of sensitive event. Sanon called it disturbing.

She wrote, “Is it necessary for media and paparazzi to cover someone’s funeral? A funeral; is a very personal affair and media should let people mourn in peace without a camera flashing in their faces! It’s disturbing to see videos of such a sensitive event with photographers talking casually in the background.”

Further, Kriti urged the media people to refrain from covering the funeral event and to give them personal space. “I urge the media to please not cover funeral and give the family and closed ones their privacy. Would you like such a personal loss being flashed all over?” ALSO READ: Dilip Kumar’s Funeral: Legendary Actor Laid To Rest At Juhu Kabrastan; Saira Banu, Friends And Family Say Their Final Goodbyes
