Dilip Kumar Passes Away: Look Back At Sweet Posts That Late Legendary Actor Wrote For Wife Saira Banu
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar left for his heavenly abode at age of 98 on July 7, 2021. He passed away due to prolonged illness. Before his demise, he was at PD Hinduja Hospital where he was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. Dilip Kumar was married to actor Saira Banu and they had no children. During his ailing days, Saira who stayed through thick and thin of her life always updated his fans about his health condition. Even during his last moments, Saira Bano was there by his side. 

Born in two different eras, Saira and Dilip have given a different definition of love. They have set an example that they are enough for each other. Today, as the entire country is heartbroken with his death, we thought of clubbing some tweets that Dilip saab shared for his beloved wife Saira on his official Twitter account. We went through his micro-blogging site only find some romantic posts that he had written for his ladylove. His timeline is filled with some pictures from their younger days which will surely leave a warm smile on your face.

Back in 2011, the actor shared a photo with Saira and backed it with a lovely caption that said, “My queen, the love of my life, Saira. Even a moment without her by my side is painful.”


In 2015, Kumar shared his favourite picture with Saira and wrote, “One of my favorite photo. With Saira. Allah sabki jodi ko khush rakhe, hamesha.” 


Sharing a monochrome picture with Saira where he was seen giving a rose to her, he wrote, “a love that stays strong for more than 50 years.. .(is karam ka karoon shukr kaise ada)” 


He shared another black-and-white picture that seemed to be from an event. The two looked magical. He praised his wife as he captioned it with, “By the Shadows of your voice, the mirage of your lips”


Dilip and Saira’s love is beyond words. Back in 2016, the late actor penned a beautiful quote for Banu along with their photo, it read, “you're a daughter of moon, who's come down from the heavens. (bint-e-mehtab ho garduon se utar aayi ho.” 


Sharing an adorable candid shot with his wife on his feed, he quoted poet Rabindranath Tagore’s verse. “For time rolls by, keep that in mind and love...my beloved in your I find refuge: Rabindranathji Tagore,” it read. 


“Mera wajood ye kabka bikhar gaya hota,” Kumar wrote for Saira. He has posted an old picture with her that seemed to be from an event. 


When Dilip and Saira were seen sitting in the garden and lost in each other’s company. He wrote, “Kahani ko phir se dohrate hain chalo...Let's repeat our story of togetherness.”


When Dilip shared his morning love with Saira over morning tea and biscuits. He wrote, “Saira says I don't share biscuits with her...so sharing tea biscuits and love in the morning.”


For the uninitiated, the Mughal-E-Azam star and Saira were married for 54 years. Saira Banu was just 12 when she fell in love with Dilip, who was already a big star at that time. Despite an age gap of 22 years, they did not let numbers play a barrier in their love. After the demise of Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu’s first words to the doctor were, “God snatched away my reason for living. Without saab, I won't be able to think about anything.
