Diljit Dosanjh Reveals: 'Only After The Good Newwz Promo, Some Of My Friends Told Me That They've Had Kids Through IVF'- EXCLUSIVE
Diljit Dosanjh-Kiara Advani, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar starrer, Good Newwz is set to release this Friday. The film is based on couples conceiving through IVF procedure. In an exclusive chat with SpoboyE.com, Diljit reveals how his own friends, who kept it a secret till now, opened up to him about having their babies through the medical procedure
A few hours back, we brought to you what Akshay Kumar had to share with us on his upcoming film Good Newwz’ theme. The actor had told us how he was shocked when a renowned TV channel beeped the word sperm in their film’s promo. And now, we bring to you what Diljit Dosanjh came across after the trailer of the film released.
While Akshay feels that the topic of having babies through IVF is still spoken in hush tones but believes that his film will go a long way in proving that the treatment is indeed a boon, Diljit too has a personal story to share.
When we asked the Udta Punjab actor about how he feels the society has an approach towards the IVF treatment, Dijit told us that his own friends, who had conceived through IVF, had kept it a secret from him till the time Good Newwz trailer released.
“When my film, Good Newwz’ trailer released, a couple of my friends opened up to me that they too had opted for IVF to get pregnant and I was pleasantly surprised that they came out in the open after seeing the promo,” said Diljit.
Diljit too agreed that IVF is considered to be a taboo in India and also realised that how this movie (Good Newwz) is probably the need of the hour.
Talking about the film, it is a Dharma production, co-produced by Apoorva Mehta, Shashank Khaitan and Aruna Bhatia and helmed by Raj Mehta. The second trailer of the film, found itself in a storm of controversy recently, when a dialogue on Lord Ram, said by Akshay, did not go down well with netizens and he got heavily trolled for it.
Coming to Diljit's personal experience, we hope that the film spreads the right message and more and more people change their thinking towards the medical procedure.
