Sonu Sood has been relentless in his relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. From helping those in need with medical bills, to arranging for hospital beds, oxygen supplies, medicines amid the second wave of COVID-19, Sonu Sood’s contribution is commendable. Recently, in a tweet, Sonu Sood responded to a patient’s family member saying that a bed has been arranged at Ganjam City Hospital. The Collector and District Magistrate of Ganjam, Odisha responded to this tweet and denied it saying that the patient is in home isolation, and that they haven’t received any communication from Sonu Sood or his foundation. Responding to an SOS call, Sonu Sood had assured that a bed has been arranged. His tweet read, “Not to worry. Bed has been arranged at GanjamCity Hospital, Berhampur (DCHC) @SoodFoundation." The official Twitter handle of Collector and District Magistrate of Ganjam replied to this tweet of Sonu Sood’s and denied the actor’s claims by tweeting, “We don't received any communication from @SoodFoundation or @SonuSood. Requested patient is in Home isolation and stable. No bed issues @BrahmapurCorp is monitoring it. @CMO_Odisha.”

In response to this, Sonu Sood shared screenshots of his WhatsApp chat with the patient’s family member. The chats show Sonu Sood informing the patient’s family member about the availability of a bed in Ganjam Hospital, and the latter thanking Sonu Sood after getting the bed.


Sonu Sood shared the screenshots, and tweeted, “Sir, We never claimed that we approached you, it's the needy who approached us and we arranged the bed for him, attached are the chats for your reference. Ur office is doing a great job & u can double check that we had helped him too. Have DM you his contact details. Jai hind."
