Does Manmohan Singh Film, The Accidental Prime Minister Have A Narendra Modi?
We were at Novotel Juhu talking to Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna and the makers of the movie, ahead of the release of The Accidental Prime Minister. As we sat down for a quick interaction with the director Vijay Gutte, he very calmly answered all our questions.

The Accidental Prime Minister is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru, media advisor to former PM Manmohan Singh. Since the director stated that the movie is a proper account of the happenings around that year, we asked if we would get to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi too in the film, to which he asked back, if we would love to see that happen. We, of course, added that who wouldn’t want to see him in the movie. He smiled and said, “I wouldn’t like to reveal all my cards, wait till you see the film.”

So, the producer refused to confirm whether PM Modi is a part of the movie.

The trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister that was unveiled last week caught the fancy of the audiences. Anupam Kher in the garb of former PM Manmohan Singh has got the mannerisms and look bang on. The 2-minute-43-second long trailer also has Aahana Kumra as Priyanka Gandhi and Arjun Mathur as Rahul Gandhi, among others.
