No, he wouldn't be a girl in the film except for a few scenes but a man who aces the voice of a girl named Pooja. In the recent video shared by the makers, we get a glimpse of how Ayushmann transformed into Pooja
Ayushmann Khurrana is one actor who never does any mediocre roles. He always picks up the toughest films and does them with ease. His next, Dream Girl too is on the same lines. It is a lighthearted film but Ayushmann had to go through a lot for his part. If you would have seen the trailer, you would know that he is the man who entices men and females over the phone by being Pooja. Yes, he does a female voice and gets everyone to fall in love with him. In a few scenes, he even dresses up as a woman. These are the scenes where he becomes Sita for a play. In a recent video shared by the makers, we get to see Ayushmann’s transformation to Pooja.
The video titled Ayushmann Khurrana in and as “Dream Girl”, we see him talking about how he became Pooja. For the scenes where he had to dress up as Sita, he revealed that it used to take him three and a half hours for makeup. Thanks to this, he has this newfound respect for females. Then he also talks about how he is dubbing for the portions where he has to do a female’s voice. We hear the director demanding Ayushmann to do at least five different types of voices for scenes.
