EXCLUSIVE! Geeta Basra Reacts To Harnaaz Sandhu Winning Miss Universe 2021, Says “I Am So Proud Of This Girl’
Praises and congratulatory messages are flooding in for model Harnaaz Sandhu, who made everyone super proud by winning the coveted title of ‘Miss Universe 2021’ after nearly 21 years. Hailing from Chandigarh, Sandhu is the third Indian to wear the crown after actress Lara Dutta won the title in 2000.

On Sunday, Harnaaz was crowned the 70th Miss Universe by the previous Miss Universe Andrea Meza of Mexico, at the Israeli Red Sea resort town of Eilat. The 21-year-old has been receiving congratulatory wishes from her well-wishers and Bollywood celebrities.

The Chandigarh-based model, who is currently pursuing her master's degree in public administration, was crowned by her predecessor Andrea Meze of Mexico, who won the pageant last year.

Earlier, Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Lara Dutta also congratulated her.

Now, actress Geeta Basra in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE expressed her views on Harnaaz Sandhu’s big win and shared that she is extremely happy for her.

She said, "Amazing. Our Punjabi girls rock. I am so happy. And it's great to see her win a prestigious title.”

The actress stressed, “I think this year is for India,” she continued, “A lot of goodness has come from India this year despite pandemic and all. A lot of gold medals from Olympic medals...We are on the map. It's great.”

She further praised Sandhu and said, “I am so proud of this girl, she has done so well for her ground home. It's great way to end the year.”

While there is much curiosity about Harnaaz’s acting debut, SpotboyE.com recently learned that Miss Universe 2021 will be making her acting debut with Punjabi film titled ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’ opposite veteran actress Upasana Singh’s son Nanak.

The movie will be produced by Upasana Singh’s production house ‘Santosh Entertainment Studio’ and will also star action hero Dev Kharoud, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Upasana and Hobby Dhaliwal in lead roles.
