With several protests across the nation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) taking place, citizens were surprised and to a certain level left disappointed with Bollywood celebs distancing themselves from it. However, a couple of hours ago, filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar, finally voiced his opinion and announced that he will be joining the protest. Soon came a news report of a senior IPS officer, Sandeep Mittal pointing this act of the actor, as law-breaking one and asked the Mumbai police to take action against him.
Now comes in yet another tweet from the actor expressing his sincere apologises. The pictorial representation of the country’s map posted by the actor accompanying one of his tweets was inaccurate and he received flak for the same. Soon the comment section was filled with people bashing him and calling for strict action against him. Soon he posted an apology and mentioned how every inch and part of Kashmir belongs to India. He failed to notice that the map was wrong while he tweeted that image and now he is sorry.
