Filmfare Awards 2020: Yami Gautam Pens An Open Letter After Her Bala Act Gets Snubbed; I Am A Hustler

Finally, the actress took to her social media to react to her Bala performance getting the Filmfare snub. The actress penned an open letter and mentioned she respectfully accepts perspectives
The film Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam released in theatres on November 7, last year and earned nominations for Best Actor for Khurrana, Best Supporting Actress for actress Seema Pahwa, and Best Dialogue for Bhatt at the 65th Filmfare awards. After the nominations list, fans vented out their anger on social media as Yami Gautam received no nomination for her act at Filmfare Awards 2020. Finally, the Bala actress took to her social media to react to the snub her act received at the prestigious awards gala and penned an open letter.
On Instagram, Yami Gautam shared an open letter after fans expressed that her performance in Bala got the Filmfare snub. Sharing the open letter, the actress wrote, “Something I wish to share.” In the open letter, Yami shared how she feels compelled to express her views to the countless messages she has been receiving for getting ‘overlooked’ and not being nominated for her performance in Bala. Talking about the importance of winning awards, Gautam shared that for her winning an award does feel like a strong sense of achievement and confidence, but more than that a nomination in itself is a mark of acknowledgment, love, and respect towards hard work and talent.
Coming back to the not bagging a nomination at the Filmfare, Yami Gautam mentioned that she respectfully accepts the perspectives of the esteemed jury and the senior members of the fraternity. The actress then spoke about how these experiences make you self assured and determined in life and thanked everyone, especially fans for the love and support poured out on her. Yami concluded her open letter saying, “It doesn’t matter where you come from, who you are, just don’t ever give up and keep waiting ahead.
