Taking to Twitter, in one tweet, Fanaa director Kunal Kohli questioned if multiplexes give producers a share of Food and Beverages sales. In another tweet, he wrote, “Let inox release what % of their revenue is ticket sales vs F&B.F&B is based on ticket sales, no one goes to a theatre to eat, Right? Start sharing that revenue with producers as well, before accusing them of trying to survive in a world pandemic never witnessed before by mankind.”  In the tweet, the filmmaker asked that INOX must release the percentage of their revenue based on ticket sales versus that of food and beverage.

Kunal Kohli then went on to explain his point and questioned INOX theatres whether their food and beverage sales are based on ticket sales, and said, “no one goes to a theatre to eat, Right?” The Fanaa director then asked INOX to start sharing the revenue they receive from food and beverages with producers as well, before accusing them of trying to survive in a world pandemic never witnessed before by mankind. Expressing his thoughts on the matter, Kunal Kohli gave a befitting reply voicing out his opinion.

Meanwhile, soon later, as the Producers Guild shared an official statement reacting to INOX’s statement, Kunal Kohli re-tweeted the tweet and wrote, “Word.” Speaking of the Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana film Gulabo Sitabo, Big B expressed his excitement towards the digital release and called it another challenge.
