Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut often finds herself in legal trouble due to her controversial remarks and statements on social media, particularly, Twitter. During the Farmer’s protests in the country, the four-time National-award-winning actress made controversial comments about the protesting farmers. She compared them to terrorists in her tweets on the micro-blogging site. Well, that did not go well with a section of people. An FIR was filed against the actress. In the hearing on Thursday, the Karnataka HC quashed it.  

Live Law reported on Twitter that the Karnataka High Court heard the petition filed by Kangana Ranaut, seeking to quash the FIR filed against her over her tweets comparing farmers protesting against the farm laws to terrorists. As per the report,  the Karnataka High Court has quashed the Magistrate’s order directing the FIR against Ranaut. The tweeted report read, “Karnataka High Court Quashes Magistrate's Order Directing FIR against @KanganaTeam over her tweets comparing protesting farmers to terrorists. #KanganaRanaut”

According to the report, the “matter has to be remitted back to the trial court to look into whether averments made in the complainant amount to offence.” The report stated that the court remitted the issue back to the Magistrate for fresh consideration. The HC also did not approve of Ranaut’s tweets and read them in open court. Take a look at the tweets below:


Meanwhile, earlier today, Kangana Ranaut was granted bail in the defamation case filed against her by veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar.
