The actor who was last seen in Karwaan, will reportedly start shooting for Hindi Medium 2. Also, reports suggest that the movie will go on floors in April and will be titled as English Medium. A DNA report states that the movie will be set in the United States of America and London too, hence the title change. While the first part was helmed by Saket Chaudhary, the second will be directed by Homi Adajania.

A source had told the leading daily, "Since the story, this time around will be about Irrfan’s beti wanting to go abroad for further studies, the film will be shot in the US and London. Even the title is likely to change. The producers are planning to call it English Medium."
