Irrfan Khan's Hindi Medium 2 To Be Titled English Medium And This Actress Will Play His Wife?
Irffan Khan has returned to India and now buzz is strong that the actor may start the shoot by April. Reportedly, the title and the cast has also been decided. Read on for details
Irrfan Khan, who has been getting treated for NeuroEndocrine Tumour, past 11 months in London, returned to India, a few days back. As soon as he got back home, reports started flooding in that by February, the actor will begin shooting for Hindi Medium 2. However, co- producer Bhushan Kumar clarified that Irrfan will only play the lead role in the sequel of the famous comedy drama, but there is still time for the shoot to begin.
And now, the latest update is that the film will go on floors in April and it will be titled as English Medium. According to a report in DNA, the film will be set in the Unites States Of America and London too, hence the change in title. While Hindi Medium was directed by Saket Chaudhary, its sequel is being directed by Homi Adajania.
The report further suggests that Radhika Apte has been approached to play Khan's wife, while Radhika Madan, who made her Bollywood debut with Vishal Bhardwaj's Patakha, might portray the role of his daughter. Radhika Madan's character will be shown going to the West for further studies.
A source told the leading daily, "Since the story, this time around will be about Irrfan’s beti wanting to go abroad for further studies, the film will be shot in the US and London. Even the title is likely to change. The producers are planning to call it English Medium."
However, there is no official confirmation about the same. A few months back, there were also reports of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol playing the lead in the film. So, till the time an announcement comes from the makers, it's better to hold our horses and wait and watch.
