While the nation is still shocked and grieving the loss of 44 CRPF jawans, who died in the Pulwama terror attack, Amitabh Bachchan has taken a step ahead to provide financial aid to the bereaved families. Bachchan’s spokesperson confirmed the news to Economic Times, saying, "Yes, Mr Bachchan will be giving Rs 5 lakh to each of the martyr's families and is currently finding out the correct process to do so."

Many Bollywood actors took to social media to express their anger and grief on the attack. From Salman Khan to Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and many more stars tweeted to condemn the attack. Television stars also posted messages on social media. TV couple, Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula cancelled their song launch. The couple had told SpotboyE.com, “We are deeply saddened with whatever has happened with our soldiers in Pulwama. This is not the right time to celebrate anything. Hence, we have decided to cancel our song launch and schedule it for a later date.” 

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli too postponed the RP-SG Indian sports honours event, observing the sensitive situation. He tweeted about the same and wrote on his handle, “The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. At this heavy moment of loss that we all find ourselves in, we would like to cancel this event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow.”
