Alia Bhatt has interesting projects in the pipeline. One of her films many are eagerly looking forward to is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. Ajay Devgn recently wrapped up shooting for the same. As many know, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. After he recovered, SLB immediately got back to shooting. However, while the filmmaker recovered, Alia Bhatt tested positive for the virus and the shoot had come to a halt. As per sources, Alia had only one day's shooting left when she tested positive.
A source close to SLB revealed, "This is a huge financial and emotional setback for the project. Sanjay was somehow shooting through the contagion following all the guidelines strictly when he was tested positive for Covid. After his quarantine period, he immediately got back to shooting. They were about to wrap up when Alia was also tested positive. There was one more day of shooting left. Now this (Alia's confinement) means that he will have to re-assemble the entire 160-member cast for one more day."
The source further added, "He has faced hardships throughout the making of his films. His set was burned down during Black. His producer was hospitalized during Devdas. He was assaulted during Padmaavat. Sanjay now feels like if there is no hardships during the shooting, the film may not be as creatively satisfying as he wants it to be."
Gangubai Kathiawadi's teaser was released a few days ago and it received a positive response from the audience. Alia's terrific performance in the teaser impressed many. The Raazi actress is currently under home quarantine. Apart from Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia has interesting projects in the pipeline. She will be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Bhramastra. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy. Alia also has SS Rajamouli's RRR.
