Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming magnum opus Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role, is the most anticipated upcoming film. The period drama has been making headlines ever since it went on floors. After months of teasing and dropping intriguing posters, the makers have dropped its highly-awaited trailer and it looks quite promising. Alia steals the show with her power-packed performance and never seen before avatar. The actress looks ferocious as she is ready to reign supreme.
The Raazi actress also shared the trailer on her Instagram handle and wrote, “GANGUBAI ZINDABAD Trailer out now.#GangubaiKathiawadi in cinemas on 25th Feb.” The impressive trailer gives a glimpse of what led to rising of Gangubai in power and also depicts the story of Gangubai and her journey from a simple girl of Bombay's Kamathipura to fighting elections. Needless to say, Alia has stunned as Gangubai. Her powerful speech in the video is beyond praise. Alia is heard saying, "Arrey jab shakti, sampatti aur sadbuddhi, teeno auratein hai toh inn mardon ko kis baat ka ghuroor."
The trailer also shows Vijay Raaz and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. Ajay Devgn also appears for a few seconds in the trailer. His short appearance is striking and manages to leaves an impression. Yesterday, Ajay Devgn dropped his stunning first look from the film on social media and captioned, “Apni Pehchaan se chaar chaand lagane, aa rahe hai hum!”
