Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. Alia will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in this film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and ever since the first look poster had been unveiled, there was a lot of curiosity about this film. Now, teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi is finally out! Alia Bhatt looks fierce and exudes power as Gangubai, the president of Kamathipura, in this teaser.
The film is based on the book “Mafia Queens of Mumbai” written by S. Hussain Zaidi, and it showcases the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawadi who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. She eventually becomes the voice for women empowerment, and Alia has played the role quite brilliantly. The teaser has been released today, on the occasion of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's birthday. It was announced yesterday that the teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi would be unveiled today, and fans had been pretty excited to see Aalia's new avatar. The actress is captivating as Gangubai in the film, and we can't wait for the film to release.

Gangubai Kathiawadi was earlier scheduled to release last year, however, owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, the release date had to be postponed. The film will now hit the theatres on July 30, 2021. As per reports, Prabhas's Radhe Shyam will clash with Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi at the box office as both the films are scheduled to release on July 30.
