Sridevi 3rd Death Anniversary: English Winglish Director Gauri Shinde On Working With The Late Actress Again; ‘Would’ve Already Made A Couple Of Films With Her’
Today marks the 3rd death anniversary of India’s first female superstar Sridevi. The Bollywood actress, who was just 54, died in UAE due to accidental drowning in 2018. Sridevi is survived by two daughter – Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor – and filmmaker husband Boney Kapoor. On mother’s 3rd death anniversary, Khushi and Janhvi took to their respective social media handles to remember Sridevi and pay a heartfelt tribute. Apart from them, Sridevi’s comeback film English Winglish director Gauri Shinde, in her recent interview, spilt the beans on projects she had planned to do with the late actress.

Speaking about working again with Sridevi, filmmaker Gauri Shinde said that she so wanted to work with Sridevi again and she would’ve already made a couple of films with her or maybe a film every year. Shinde told ETimes, “She set the bar really high--not just performance-wise but also for an actor-director relationship. After working with her once, I was so spoiled, I couldn't accept anything less. I don't think I can work with someone I'm not very comfortable with, no matter how great or popular they are. I obviously wanted to work with her again and would have made a film with her now, and maybe every year!”

Gauri also spilt the beans on her favourite Sridevi scene. She said, “After she passed away, the whole team of the film came together to watch the film once again to celebrate her craft but it was a very, very emotional and disturbing experience for me because it made me realise she's not there. My favourite scene in the film is the one where she, upset with her daughter, shares her sadness with Laurent and both of them talk in different languages. Then she says, “So good to talk without understanding”.

Ahead of her 3rd death anniversary, Sridevi’s daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor were seen leaving for Chennai where they hosted a puja for their loved mother. (ALSO READ: Sridevi Unveils The Poster Of Mom, Salman Khan Has Something To Say)
