Actresses Shilpa Shetty and Shraddha Kapoor are among the celebs who welcomed Lord Ganesha home on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi that began on August 22. Now, both Shilpa and Shraddha have bid good bye to the deity today. Both the actresses took to their respective social media handles and gave glimpses of their celebration in their family with the arrival of the deity beginning from yesterday. Shilpa who welcomes as well as bids goodbye to the deity with much pomp and grandeur kept it a low key affair this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Also, the actress immersed the idol in a barrel placed within the compound of her lavish house. She was accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra, son Viaan, mother and her mother-in-law. The actress had also shared a video of a holy havan performed at her residence few hours ago, with the caption, “Prayers for everyone” on her Instagram account. Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor too posted picture of performing puja before she bid goodbye to Ganesha and shared few glimpses on her Instagram Stories.

The actress was seen with her mother and her maternal aunt performing a puja, followed by carrying the little idol of Ganesha to be immersed in a bucket, thus propagating eco friendly initiative.

Both the actresses looked pretty, while Shraddha Kapoor wore baby pink kurti with her hair tied in a low pony, Shilpa was seen in a yellow-white kurta and palazzo during the immersion ceremony.
