Following Kapoor & Sons, Shakun Batra is back with Gehraiyaan starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in key roles. Today the makers unveiled the trailer, which will hook you to wanting to see more. The trailer promises to narrate a tale that revolves around love and friendship, and its complexities. The trailer introduces Deepika and Ananya as onscreen cousins. Siddhant Chaturvedi plays Ananya’s fiancé; however, things take an unexpected turn with Deepika and Siddhant getting attracted to one another.
Sharing the trailer Deepika wrote, “Life, Love and Choices…Get ready to experience it all!” Speaking about her character Alisha, she said, “Alisha, my character in Gehraiyaan is extremely close to my heart and certainly one of the most challenging characters I have portrayed on screen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role that was fun and challenging at the same time. Each of the characters’ struggles and arcs are real, raw and relatable. Our endeavour is to take viewers on a journey they will relate to. When it comes to dealing with relationships and human emotion, Shakun is truly a master of his craft. With Gehriyaan, again, he has woven a story that will appeal to all and I am thrilled that along with Amazon Prime Video we are able to take this story to audiences worldwide.”

Earlier the movie was scheduled to release in January 2022 but was later pushed to February 11, 2022. It will release on Amazon Prime Video; it also stars Dhariya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur. Batra along with directing has co-produced Gehraiyaan with Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta; with Batra's Jouska Films, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios backing the movie.
