While Meera Sehgal is still in two minds about quitting
House Of Areem, Kiran tells her they are at the brink of a huge collaboration
with an international design house. The American purchasing head will be
visiting to curate the website and the organisation is far from prepared. He
asks Meera to stay back.
When Meera shows no inclination to consider the decision,
Kiran flings an offer at her that makes her stop in her tracks. He says he’ll
allow Meera Sehgal a HOA line if she stays and if the collaboration is
successful. Delighted and surprised at the same time Meera pushes her luck and
asks for a profit share.
At night, at Meera’s building entrance, Areem waits for
the elevator and is visibly upset. She wants to confront Meera about the night
before when Kartik enters.
Tension builds in the lift and the two are met with an
awkward moment. Suddenly the lift stops, Areem panics, Kartik calms her, makes
light of the moment in his quintessential style, they have a warm moment and
the lift starts working again. Areem slams the button for the next floor, runs
out saying her life is more precious than a stupid lift!
Furthermore, Kartik enters Meera’s flat smile playing on
his lips. When Meera asks the reason for the smile, Kartik smiles wider and
says, “Nothing.” The tide is changing.
