Goldie Behl REACTS To Reports Claiming Vijay Deverakonda's Liger Failed Due To Boycott Trend: ‘Nothing Can Stop A Good Film From Succeeding’-EXCLUSIVE
Ace filmmaker-producer Goldie Behl is currently riding high on the success of his latest web show ‘Duranga’, which is an official adaptation of the Korean drama, 'Flower Of Evil'. In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE, Goldie opened up about the success of the show, the boycott trend in Bollywood, and much more. Sonali Bendre’s husband also spoke at length about Vijay Deverakonda's film ‘Liger’ tanking at the box office. Goldie asserted that no trend can stop a good film from succeeding.

When asked about his views on the current boycott trends, the producer shared with us, “I think it’s very unfortunate that Hindi films are being put through this. I feel no trend or anything can stop a good film from succeeding. I firmly believe in this.  I have been in the industry for a very long time and if a film connects with the audience, nothing can stop it from succeeding. But at the same time, it’s really unfortunate that people are building up this negativity. I don’t know if such hate campaigns are affecting the performances of the film or if it's coinciding with the film, not doing well. A good movie will work despite all odds." ALSO READ: Mithya: Goldie Behl Talks About The Challenges They Faced While Shooting, Showers Praise On Huma Qureshi And Avantika Dassani -EXCLUSIVE

Ask him if the pan India film ‘Liger’ failed because of the boycott trend, Goldie explained, “No I don’t think so any film can tank at the box office because of a trend of boycotting the film. My understanding is that if you see the percentage of the people going to theatres to watch the film vs on social media you will get the answer out there.”

Meanwhile, his crime- thriller show ‘Duranga’ featured Drashti Dhami and Gulshan Devaiah in the lead roles. The show got a sweet shout-out from ‘Flower of Evil actor Lee Joon-gi on social media. The creator of the show Goldie also revealed how he came up with the idea of creating Duranga and said a young girl in his office who is a huge K-drama fan, introduced this show to him. He liked it so much that he decided to remake it as an Indian thriller drama.

‘Duranga’ the 9-part series was released on 19th August 2022 on Zee5.
