Rishi Kapoor, who is in New York for the medical treatment of an undisclosed disease, will soon be returning to India. The actor had flown down to New York in September. Earlier, rumours mills were abuzz that the veteran actor is suffering from Cancer. It was on May 1, when filmmaker Rahul Rawail announced that the actor is cancer-free. Later, on May 30, Rishi Kapoor too had taken to social media and had tweeted, “Today, I complete eight months in New York. Will I ever get home?”

Now, the latest reports suggest that Rishi Kapoor is planning to return to India on his 67th birthday. Yes, you heard that right! According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, it suggests, “Rishi Kapoor is recovering well and will be back in India just in time for his 67th birthday on September 4.”

Confirming the same the actor told Mirror, “Yes, I am trying to return by August end, depending on what the doctors at the hospital say. I have recovered well and I am feeling good. Must be 100% fit by the time I am back.”

A source close revealed to the tabloid that he wants to celebrate the day with his family and friends in India. The source revealed, “He is 100% cancer-free, and under the doctors’ observation for the time being. He is staying at a private apartment and enjoying life in the Big Apple. Being a cricket buff, he is also following the on-going cricket World Cup in England and keeps discussing the results of the matches with his friends in India.”
