He has tried to make several comebacks, some successful, others not so much and his latest attempt, the masala potboiler Aa Gaya Hero, proved to be a dud.
He has successfully played double roles in the past including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and in his next, Govinda will again be playing two characters.
There is another twist in the story, one of the characters, who will be the main villain of the film, is gay.
Yes, Govinda will play the gay villain in the upcoming film.
This will be his first attempt at such a character though he had famously performed in drag in the film Aunty No.1. Govinda had played a man who dresses up as a middle-aged woman in order to meet his girlfriend.

The upcoming film will see him paired with two newcomers, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor.
The yet-untitled film is directed by Satyendra Raj and will mark his debut as a director. He had earlier collaborated with Govinda in Aa Gaya Hero as the creative director of the film.
The film is being produced by Sarwan Sharma and Jayant Ghosh and the shooting of the project has already started and the makers plan to release it in 2017.
