Amid the novel Coronavirus, many Bollywood actors and Television actors are in the news for taking or not taking pay cuts. While a few are in news for happily agreeing to take pay cuts to compensate producers’ loss, others are in news for doubling their charges amid the pandemic. Recently, Brahmastra cast – Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor – were in news for voluntarily deciding to take a pay cut to make the project viable. However, Karan Johar was quick to quash the rumours.

Taking to social media, KJo had stated that people should not rely on any false news until and unless he makes an official statement on any his official account. Now as per the latest TOI report, Rakul Preet is another actress who has happily decided to take a pay cut to compensate producers’ loss. The report states that Rakul who was last seen opposite Ajay Devgn in De De Pyaar De has offered a 50% pay cut for her upcoming films.

The TOI report also states that the % pay cut can be estimated to Rs 75 lakhs per project. Earlier quashing the rumours of Alia and Ranbir taking a pay cut, KJo had tweeted, “My hugest request to my media friends not to reach any assumptions on our fraternity films...these are challenging times for the business and false news only makes the situation worse! Please wait for official news on any account!! This is a humble request....”
