HC Questions Sushant Singh Rajput’s Fan, 'How Is Nyaay The Movie Connected To The Actor’s Case?'
Sudden death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput caused a massive stir in the industry. While the investigation is yet to arrive at a conclusion, whether he died due to suicide or murder, speculation of the film revolving around his life has been in news. Titled Nyaay: The Justice, the film has been speculated to be based on SSR’s life; a social worker Manish Mishra filed his appeal in court stating the film is maligning Rajput’s reputation and having unclear facts.

As per reports in Times of India, Justice Prithviraj Chavan of Bombay High Court asked the appealer Manish Mishra how does he know what the filmmaker is up to after he claimed makers’ maligning Rajput’s image, “How do you know what they are going to do?’’ Manish Mishra’s appeal was heard in court on December 22, 2020, at Dindoshi Civil Court. Reports further stated that the investigation of the case is still on, “Investigation in respect to the said matter is yet to decide about the correctness of either suicide or murder.’’

Also Mishra in his plea had informed producer Sarla Saraogi’s production banner to have already begun producing the film, and further urged HC to curtail the producer from releasing and advertising about the film.

Mishra’s lawyer Chetan C Agarwal, mentioned Mishra being a “businessman, social worker and a fan and follower” He further added, “How can they say it is not touching the investigation or distorting facts? The title itself shows.” ALSO READ: Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Complaint Against Actor's Sister Meetu Singh Quashed By The High Court

Counter answering on behalf of the producer, Ashok Saraogi’s lawyer said, “It (title) can be for anything. The producer has not touched upon the police investigations into the actor’s death.” Judge of the Dindoshi court said, “Unless the film is released, how can it be said that it shows distorted facts?” ALSO READ: Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dhoni Co-Star Sandeep Nahar Dies By Suicide; Khandaani Shafakhana Director Says 'He Was A Talented Actor'

Justice Chavan has now pushed the hearing on this plea to the first week of March, as he doesn’t see any immediate action required on it. The producer Sarogi is worried as post production on the film would go on pause due to Mishra’s appeal. On which Justice Chavan was quoted saying, “If someone is doing something correctly, there is no need to be afraid.” ALSO READ: 'Justice For SSR Sisters’ Trends As Bombay HC Grants No Relief To Priyanka Singh But Quashes FIR Against Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sis Mitu Singh
