He-Man and The Masters of the Universe is all set to hit theatres across India on 5th June. The live-action film stars Nicholas Galitzine in the titular role, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Camila Mendes, Jared Leto, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Kristen Wiig, Morena Baccarin, and Idris Elba. Adding a distinct Indian touch to its release, He-Man and The Masters of the Universe will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The recently released Hindi trailer revealed an exciting surprise for fans, Meezaan and Jaaved Jaaferi, have teamed up to lend their voices to He-Man and Skeletor, respectively.
The duo also spoke about stepping into the world of these iconic characters and shared their personal connection with He-Man. “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was a huge part of pop culture in the early 90s. I remember my kids and I would sit down to watch the cartoon on TV when they were little. Skeletor was always such an iconic villain: wicked, dramatic, and unforgettable. After all these years, getting the opportunity to lend my voice to Skeletor feels so nostalgic and surreal. It honestly feels like life has come full circle. From enjoying those moments as a father watching the show with my children, to now becoming a part of that universe myself, this is an extremely special collaboration for me,” Jaaved Jaaferi said.
Meezan added, "Voicing He-Man for the Hindi version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe truly feels like an incredible journey down memory lane. He-Man was such a huge part of my childhood growing up. I still remember sitting beside my father, completely glued to the television, getting transported into the world of Eternia. So, to now become the voice of He-Man himself feels unreal and incredibly special. What makes this even more emotional for me is that my father is right here with me on this journey too, just like old times.”
Backed by Amazon MGM Studios, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight. Sony Pictures Releasing International releases He-Man and The Masters of the Universe theatrically on 5th June 2026 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
