Hera Pheri Completes 21 Years: Suniel Shetty Says, ‘What A Film We Made’; Paresh Rawal Never Imagined It Would Be 'Such A Hit'
There is barely anyone who hasn't watched laugh riot Hera Pheri starring Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Today as the film completes 21 years of its release, Suniel Shetty taking to his social media account, was seen reminiscing the memories of this wonderful movie. It introduced us to the iconic characters played by the trio, named Shyam, Raju and Baburao. In his tweet he mentioned how it feels like these 21 years going in a jiffy, also missing the late actor Om Puri who was also part of the movie.
 
His Tweet read, “No wonder we underestimate how quickly time flies. It seems I blinked, and 21 years went by. What a film we made @priyadarshandir @akshaykumar @SirPareshRawal @GulshanGroverGG #Tabu. Missing #OmPuri ji very dearly today...” While speaking to ETimes, the senior actor Paresh Rawal shared they did not expect the movie would be such a hit. He also shared people coming to him and telling the movie helps them to pep up their mood when they feel low. 

He said, “It is still very fresh in our minds; we had not anticipated that it will be such a big hit. We just thought that it would be a nice and unique story. The dialogues were funny and it was entertaining. We never imagined that it would be loved and remembered in such a big way.”

Also when quizzed if the third installment is in making, responding to it he shared eagerly waiting for it. Hera Pheri helmed by Priyadarshan released on March 31, 2000, followed by his sequel Phir Hera Pheri on June 9, 2006.
