Jacqueline Fernandez is no longer a part of Nagarjuna Akkineni's The Ghost. The actress was approached for the film after Kajal Agarwal walked out of it reportedly due to her pregnancy. According to a report in ETimes, Jacqueline was in talks for this project last year but chose not to be a part of it because the makers couldn't afford the fees she charges for a film.
The report further added that this happened back in November last year. Both the producers and Jacqueline chose to move on peacefully to their next projects. The news of Jacqueline's exit comes amid her controversy involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She has been making headlines ever since her name came up during the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation of a Rs 200 crore money-laundering case centered around Sukesh. Jacqueline denied dating Sukesh. However, recently a picture of the two had gone viral where they were snapped in a mushy moment with the actress showing off a love bite on her neck.
Reacting to this, Jacqueline issued an official statement which read, "This country and its people have always given me tremendous love and respect. This includes my friends from the media, from whom I have learned a lot. I am currently going through a rough patch but I am sure my friends and fans will see me through it."
She added, "It is with this trust that I would request my friends to not circulate any images of a nature that will intrude my privacy and personal space. You would not do this to your loved ones, am sure you would not do this to me either. Hoping that justice and good sense prevails. Thank you."
