Sajid-Farhad’s
much-awaited multi-starrer Housefull 3, which hits the screens today, has
already been shrouded in controversy.
The comedy, we hear, has been accused of plagiarism. Reportedly, writer Farooq
Barelvi has filed an FIR against Akshay Kumar and producer Sajid Nadiadwala,
accusing the two of using his story without giving him the credit.
According to Farooq, he had first narrated the
story to Akshay’s make-up artiste Narendra Khuswala, who took the film to the
actor. Farooq says that Akki loved the story and decided to act in it. Farooq
further claims that he was even paid a hefty token amount by Akshay’s team for
the story.

But soon after, Farooq alleges, Khiladi Kumar started giving him a cold shoulder and his story was used for the third instalment of the popular Bollywood franchise, Housefull.
