Here are some celebrities who are still living in rented apartments before they move in to the dream home of their own. Some of them have properties but they just opt to hire rentals.
Mumbai is rightly called the city of dreams, and dreams never come cheap. Investment in real estate in Mumbai is one of the most lucrative business plans in our country. With a high cost of living, the return on investment is always high. However, to even reach that place is not that easy. Even some successful stalwarts in their fields are still living in rented houses, despite owning one because it's far from their dream house, perhaps. And here are a few of those Bollywood celebrities who fall into the above category.
Katrina Kaif
Ever since she stepped in showbiz, this ethereal beauty hasn’t owned a house. From living in Silver Sands Apartment on Carter Road to her current rented penthouse in Bandra, the actress has always been a renter, with reportedly paying up to Rs 15 lacs a month as rent at one time.
Hrithik Roshan
The Greek God of Bollywood has some real estate investments, but just like her Bang Bang co-star the actor chose to live in a rented apartment in Juhu, which is right next to Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s bungalow. He has been living there for exactly a year now and is reportedly paying a steep rent of Rs 8.25 lacs per month.
Jacqueline Fernandez
This Sri Lankan beauty and a former Miss Universe Sri Lanka enjoys a sea-view apartment with five bedrooms, which is interestingly leased out from another beauty queen and Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Jacqueline is currently paying a rent of Rs 6.78 lacs per month, but if reports are to be believed, she is all set to move into a new apartment with her mystery beau.
Sunny Leone
Sunny was facing issues in house hunting when she moved to Bollywood, until former actress Celina Jaitley came to her rescue and rented out her three-bedroom house, with a terrace in Andheri to her. However, the actress has recently bought a new home for Rs 16 crores in the Atlantis Project, where Amitabh Bachchan will be her new neighbour.
