Hungama 2 Actress Pranitha Subhash: ‘Meezaan Is A Mix Of Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh And Jaaved Jaaferi’-EXCLUSIVE
Pranitha Subhash talks about the comic skills of Hungama 2 co-star Meezaan
South actress Pranitha Subhash is all set to step into the Hindi film industry soon. Her first venture in the industry, Hungama 2, is slated to release on July 23 on Disney+ Hotstar. The film also features Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan and Paresh Rawal in the lead and marks director Priyadrashan’s comeback to Hindi cinema after eight years.
The film is touted to be a comic ride and for Pranitha, this might be a new genre to explore, but she has a lot of comedy veterans in the ensemble cast like Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Paresh to learn from. Her co-star Meezaan might have done just one film till now, Malaal, and that too was a drama but he comes from a lineage of actors who have proven their mettle in comedy. His grandfather Jagdeep and father Jaaved Jaaferi have both been amazing comedic actors. So, does that side comes naturally to him too? “Absolutely, it is visible in the trailer. He has that hyperness. He is like a mixture of Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Jaaved Jaaferi,” Pranitha responds.
Pranitha goes on to add that Meezaan also helped her understand the nuances and necessity of PR in the industry and in an earlier conversation with Spotboye.com, she had also raved about his dancing skills and how he helped her match steps with amazing dancers like him and Shilpa.
After Hungama 2, Pranitha also has her next Hindi film up for release within a few weeks. She will be seen as Ajay Devgn’s wife in Bhuj: The Pride Of India that also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonkashi Sinha, Ammy Virk, Nora Fatehi and Sharad Kelkar. The film is slated to release on August 13.
