A few months back, Alia Bhatt stirred up a buzz on social media when she shared her unconventional approach to applying lipstick in a makeup tutorial video with Vogue. She disclosed that she intentionally fades her lipstick after application because her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, prefers her natural lip shade. She mentioned, "After applying the lipstick, I rub it off because one thing my husband, who was also my boyfriend, when we go out at night, he’s like ‘wipe that off’ because he loves the natural color of my lips." The revelation sparked a wave of reactions on the internet, with some labeling Ranbir as a 'red flag.' She also emphasized her non-confrontational approach, stating, "Maybe I have also become a more private person because of that, but I cannot fault anyone for it. I have never in my life spoken back or said, ‘You can’t say this about me."

Alia Bhatt emphasized that there have been instances of outright falsehoods being circulated about her, and her response has consistently been one of non-engagement, as she believes in upholding a certain conduct.
