After spending sleepless nights over Udta Punjab’s trouble with the Censor Board, the film’s makers are finally heaving a sigh of relief.
Jubilant over the film’s box-office success and critical acclaim, producer Ekta Kapoor threw a party at her Juhu home last night.
While Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh were conspicuous by their absence, Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor made their presence felt.
Shahid, who was in an upbeat mood, talked about the film getting leaked before its release. “It’s very sad, but we will have to deal with these kind of issues. Having said that, I am proud of Udta Punjab and it is the best film of my career.”
When asked about his half-brother Ishaan Khattar making his Bollywood debut -- with SOTY 2 -- Shahid said, “He will soon come on screen, but when and with whom I still don’t know.”
