Sridevi needs no introduction. The glamorous diva scaled her way to the top and he has worked in over ninety films. The actress often addressed Mumbai as her workplace but she apparently had Chennai close to her heart and she felt at home in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
For those unversed, Sridevi’s Chennai residency was the first house she bought. Recently, Janhvi Kapoor gave a tour of this beautiful place, which was designed by her mother and it is being preserved by her father, Boney Kapoor.
In an interview with Vogue, Janhvi gave her fans an inside tour of her Chennai home owned by her parents - Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. The home has a huge gate which opens to a lush green veranda and it is a perfect place to host small get-togethers and family dinner nights.
Janhvi revealed that the main entrance to their Chennai house is somewhere else, but they believe in Vastu Shashtra. Considering the same, the family decided to make a different entry to their home.
After passing through the glass door, there is a corridor which hosts a lot of art pieces, which enhanced the wall and turned it into a piece of art.
During the interview, Janhvi claimed that Chennai still has the energy of her mother - Sridevi, in every corner of the house.
Interestingly, the house also has Boney Kapoor’s small office and it hosts a big study table with glass top. The extravagant house also has an old-world charm with traditional wooden furniture and art pieces that accentuate the ivory-coloured walls.
Meanwhile, the living room showcases a beautiful L-shaped sofa and it has cushions with different textiles. There is also an artefact of the Buddha and the glass wall adjoining it is decorated with huge ceramic vases and dry flowers.
However, what caught the audience's attention was the huge staircase with a memorabilia wall, and it was Sridevi’s idea and it even featured pictures from the start of her acting career to Janhvi's Koffee With Karan's debut with her half-brother, Arjun Kapoor.
