Actor Abhishek Bajaj, who’ll soon be seen in the upcoming Hindi film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, opens up about his love for Bhangra on this World Dance Day. The actor who keeps his fans entertained with impressive dance videos on his social media also shares how dancing helps him get into the skin of a character when he’s acting.
Talking about his love for dancing, he says, “There are many shortcuts to happiness, and I think dancing is one of them! For me, dance is the language of the soul. I dance to clear my mind, and I instantly feel happy.” The handsome actor also correlates dancing to acting and says that it helps him become a better actor. “Acting is all about the rhythm of different characters. Every character has its own rhythm and own beat. Through dancing, it’s very easy to get into the skin of a character, and helps one get as close as they can to the character’s rhythm” he says. The actor who hails from Delhi, also shares his love for the famous Punjabi dance form, Bhangra. He says, “My love for Bhangra is immense. I’ve been doing Bhangra since I was a child, I don’t even remember a time when I didn’t do it. I’d do Bhangra with my cousins at weddings, and we’d perform ‘Chokdi’. Even while working out, I sometimes listen to Bhangra music, and when there’s no one around in the gym, I may even do a few Bhangra moves!
