Ranu Mondal who used to sing at the railway station in Kolkata, became a star and an internet sensation overnight, all thanks to music composer-singer and actor Himesh Reshammiya who gave her the opportunity. Ever since her Teri Meri Kahani released online, there was no turning back for the lady. Her fans and netizens were going gaga over her vocals as she created hysteria in just a matter of days. While there were people who were praising Himesh for giving her a chance, little did we know that someday we will get to see this side of Ranu too.
Recently, we came across a video where Ranu Mondal is seen throwing tantrums when a fan asked for a selfie. Her reaction to it went viral on social media, leaving everyone shocked. In the video, Ranu is seen shopping at a supermarket. On seeing the lady there, an excited fan goes up to her, held her hand and asked for a selfie, however, Mondal got angry on the fan for touching her and for holding her hand, while the fan maintains a smile on her face. In the video, we can clearly see Ranu angrily gestures and asking her how can she touch her like that? Watch the video below:
Many commented on this video and going by their comments, it seems like social media are not happy with her baheviour. One user wrote, "This lady is doing a wrong thing. We should learn from Shri Ram, his entire life was a disaster but he still didn't become a corrupt person, instead remained humble, calm, polite, honest man." Another one wrote, "no matter how far we go in life....we should never forget our ground" One simply said that success has gone into her head, "Aagya ise b ghamand....insaan kbi ni sudhrne wala", "Ye Ranu asli chehra hai aam public be ye mukan Diya aur aam public se hi aisa bewhar insan ki fitrat batata hai ki wo kis layak hai." While there was one who said that she deserved the place where she came from, "She deserve the place she came from."
Meanwhile, a biopic on the internet sensation will soon be made on celluloid. Not only this, the makers have also approached a Bengali National-Award winning actress, Sudipta Chakraborty for the same which will be directed by Hrishikesh Mondal. Apart from Teri Meri Kahani from Happy, Hardy and Heer, Ranu Mondal will also be lending her voice for Aadat that is also composed by Himesh himself.
