Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and her husband Nupur Shikhare hosted a grand reception on Saturday evening for Bollywood celebrities. After enjoying the wedding festivities to the fullest, they held their wedding reception at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai which was a starry affair. The celebrities put their best fashion foot forward as they arrived to bless the newlywed couple. Jaya Bachchan too arrived at the wedding reception with her daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and actress Sonali Bendre, however, it was the veteran actress’ banter with the paps that stole the show.
In a video shared by Instant Bollywood on Instagram, Bachchan arrives at the wedding venue looking gorgeous in a royal blue kurta and pajama set. She completed her look with a multi-coloured jacket, minimal makeup and jewellery. As she posed for the photos, the shutterbags directed her to look at them, she sarcastically told them, “Kya aap idhar angle humko seekha rahe hai.” She then smiles at them and turns towards the paps while posing. For those who don’t know, Nupur is a fitness coach, who has trained Bollywood celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Aamir Khan. On the other hand, Ira made her directorial debut in 2019 with the stage production ‘Euripides' Medea,’ an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy Medea. Apart from this, she also launched Agastu Foundation, which aims to help and support people battling with mental health issues. Having met during the pandemic, the couple got engaged in September 2022 during a sports event. They proceeded to host an engagement party for their family in November of the same year.
