Aamir Khan and his family are currently over the moon as their beloved Ira Khan finally tied the knot with the love of her life Nupur Shikare on Wednesday evening. The family of the newlyweds were spotted welcoming their guests with open arms. Amidst all the guests Aamir and his second ex-wife Kiran Rao welcomed Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani at the entrances of the wedding venue, Taj Lands End.
In the video posted by paparazzo Manav Manglani, the Ambani couple was seen arriving at the wedding venue to bless the newlywed couple. Dressed to the nines, as they got down from their swanky luxurious car, the 58-year-old actor and his second ex-wife greeted the Ambani’s with warm hugs. After greeting each other they made their way into the venue. While many gushed about their bond, some even wondered where Ira’s mother Reena Dutta was while greeting the guests. Ira is Aamir’s only daughter from his first wife, Reena Dutta. They also have a son, Junaid Khan. After his first divorce, Aamir got married again to Kiran Rao. The couple, who are now divorced, welcomed their son, Azad, through surrogacy in 2011. Talking about the upcoming festivities, the newlyweds are taking their family and close friends to Udaipur, Rajasthan, for mehendi and sangeet where Aamir will be singing a song for his darling daughter. After celebrating their union, they will return to Mumbai, where they will host a wedding reception on January 10. If reports are to be believed, they have invited all the known celebrities from the Hindi film industry.
For those who don’t know, Nupur is a fitness coach, who has trained Bollywood celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Aamir Khan. On the other hand, Ira made her directorial debut in 2019 with the stage production ‘Euripides' Medea,’ an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy Medea. Apart from this, she also launched Agastu Foundation, which aims to help and support people battling with mental health issues. Having met during the pandemic, the couple got engaged in September 2022 during a sports event. They proceeded to host an engagement party for their family in November of the same year.
