Irrfan Khan's death has proved to be a dark day for the entertainment industry. The actor, who was battling with cancer, lost his life to a colon infection today, at the age of 53. As soon as the news of his demise hit the web, a lot of Irrfan Khan's colleagues from the film industry are sending in their heartfelt messages for the department soul and his family. After Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan has penned a touching note on Irrfan's untimely demise.

The Bharat actor shared a candid picture of him with Irrfan Khan from an award show. It saw the two actors having a warm moment, as they exchanged smiles and shook hands in front of the paparazzi. In his caption, Salman remembered Irrfan and offered condolences to his family. He also called his death a huge loss to the film industry. Salman wrote, "Big loss to the film industry, his fans, all of us n specially his family. My heart goes out to his family. May God give them strength."

He added, "Rest in peace brother u shall always be missed n be in all our hearts.." Salman and Irrfan never shared screen space but they only had good things to say about each other.
