Irrfan Khan needs no introduction. Undeniably, Irrfan was one of the finest stars in the Hindi film industry. Irrfan Khan not only successfully carved a niche for himself in Bollywood but was also well-known in the West. His impressive performances in films speak volumes about his versatility as an actor. Khan made his film debut with a small role in Salaam Bombay!, which was followed by years of struggle. After starring in the British film The Warrior, he had his breakthrough with starring roles in the dramas Haasil and Maqbool. He later went on to star in many films and earned a name for himself in the industry.
The actor's career spanned over 30 years and earned him numerous accolades including a National Film Award, an Asian Film Award and also Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour. We come close to marking one year since cinema lost one of its gem i.e. Irrfan Khan. In 2018, Khan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. The actor died at the age of 53 on April 29, 2020.
