There is good news for Alia Bhatt all the way from Hyderabad. Sources close to SS Rajamouli’s RRR inform me that Alia’s role is in for a major rehaul.
There is good news for Alia Bhatt all the way from Hyderabad. Sources close to SS Rajamouli’s RRR inform me that Alia’s role is in for a major rehaul. “There’s a world of difference between what Alia was signed up for, and what she’s doing now,” the source informs.
Initially she was to only do a guest appearance in RRR for which she needed to dole out a maximum of seven days. Apparently Alia would be shooting for a lot more days for RRR now. The reason given is her pan-India appeal.
Says the source, “Unlike Baahubali which had a universal resonance to it, RRR is far more regional in tone. Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt are expected to give it a pan-India appeal.”
Ajay Devgan has already shot RRR while Alia’s portions remain to be shot.
Alia Bhatt: 2021 is a crucial year for her. She has three potential blockbusters up for release, one of them with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. But before that there is SS Rajamouli’s RRR where she has a brief but important role. In Ayan Mukerjee’s Brahmastra she shares screen space for the first time with Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Nagarjuna. Above all, it’s Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi which will catapult Alia into the league of all-time greats.
