Deepika Padukone is a Capricorn and a January born who loves a bit of scandal right at the start of every year. While January is the month of reinvention and new starts for many but for DP, it seems to be the time when she pulls out a publicity trick from under her designer sleeve, much to everyone’s shock and surprise.
January 2020 was when she made an appearance at Delhi’s Jawahar Lal Nehru University, standing tall, with folded hands alongside JNU students union president Aishe Ghosh. The optics of a statuesque, silent yet strong female actress standing in support of the students, stunned the nation, and many believe her visit left a dent on her ambitious home production, Chhapaak. Some even called it a PR gimmick, but was it one?
In 2021, the year that turns our back on the most savage year known to humankind, the Coronavirus struck-2020, Deepika did a January gig with a complete wipe out of her Instagram page. Many might think it to be symbolic of new and welcome beginnings, but perhaps it was meant to merely grab eyeballs.
Why do these momentous yet shocking events come through in January, Deepika Padukone’s birthday month? Is there more to it than meets the eye?
Deepika is currently working on Shakun Batra’s film opposite Gully Boy star Sidharth Chaturvedi. She will also be seen in Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan. We also have it that is very likely to star alongside Hrithik in another film, ie, Madhu Mantena’s 3d Ramayan, where the two are likely to play Sita and Ram, respectively.
