Is Karan Johar’s Latest Post A Tease For Dostana 2?
“It’s what you think it is,” says Karan Johar. And we have a very strong hunch that it is, Dostana 2. Yes, we are quite sure actually that’s what Karan Johar’s latest cryptic post on Instagram is about
Karan Johar posted
a short animated video on his social media handles this morning and set tongues
wagging. “Got a ring to it, doesn't it? You know what it is! Stay tuned and
watch this space - announcement coming your way tomorrow!" he wrote. And
while it is obviously not confirmed and fans will have to wait till tomorrow
for a formal announcement, it is likely that Karan will announce the sequel to
his 2008 blockbuster, Dostana, tomorrow.
So it does look
like after much ado the script for Dostana 2 has finally been locked. Earlier
this year, in January, we had told you that Karan’s favourite girl, Alia Bhatt
has been approached for the much-anticipated sequel. Last we checked, while
Alia’s casting was almost through, Karan was still looking for two male
co-stars. Back in January it was being said that Karan will formally announce
the project after the casting is complete. Lo and behold, looks like it is!
KJo is known for
his side splitting demeanour and witty expressions that translate on screen in
his movies. Dostana was one hell of a joy ride and we’re sure, it’s sequel will
be no different. Keep watching this space for updates on all things Dostana.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Dostana that released in 2008, starring John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan was an instant hit with the critics and cinema goers alike. Soon after the movie became a blockbuster, there were reports of a sequel being worked on. However, after numerous rumours in the film industry announcing the launch of Dostana 2, Tarun had finally ended up announcing another project – Drive. But this time, things have fallen into place, with or without Tarun, Dostana 2 is coming SOON.
