Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai have been amongst the highest grossers as well as most loved films. To date, people enjoy these films and having said that, they are even anticipated for the third instalment as well. While the third part of the film was announced in 2006 itself, much to everyone’s dismay, director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra never went ahead with it. However, speaking about the same, in a recent interview, Boman Irani who played a pivotal role in both the series of Sanjay Dutt’s starrer speaks about the third instalment of the franchise.
When asked about the third part, Boman said, "I don't know if we should say this but there is news. There is some news, and the news is there is no news," Boman said to BollywoodHungama while Arshad Warsi who played the loving Circuit agreed with him. Earlier this year, in an interview with the same portal, Vidhu Vinod Chopra had said, "Our joy comes from creating cinema. Our joy comes from striving for excellence. Honestly, I have not made the third Munnabhai, which will get me how many crores you can ask industry experts, because I still don't have a script I like, then I must be crazy. Abhijat (Joshi) is mad, so is Raju Hirani. We all are mad. We are seeking happiness and joy which we believe is beyond money.”
Well, as of now, there’s no clarity when the third part of Munna Bhai will come to life but reports were suggesting that there are chances of the sequel of Aamir Khan’s PK but this time with Ranbir Kapoor. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra spilt the beans saying the sequel will happen after the film's writer begins with the script.
